For an early celebration of our 50th anniversary (July 27, 2024), Don and Mary-Theresa (MT) Madill decided to look into a Viking cruise to Hawai'i. What we found was the Grand Hawai'i and French Polynesia cruise November 10 to December 12, 2023, offered at a special promotion. Previously, we had gone on 5 Viking cruises, 1 river cruise and 4 ocean cruises. For the previous ocean cruises, we had booked the Deluxe Veranda type of stateroom. This time, we upgraded to the Penthouse Veranda, which gave us an earlier time to board the ship and more opportunities to dine at specialty restaurants.
